My Dear Friend of Democracy, 

Today, I would like to recall that this year Greece is celebrating its 50th anniversary as a country of continuous democracy. 

Democracy came back to the country in 1974 after a seven-year military junta collapsed following Turkey’s invasion of Cyprus. 

Today, Greece is one of the fastest-growing countries in Europe.
