How does the art business model differ from other forms of employment?
Through its uniqueness.
An art business cannot be passed on to other people.
A plumber business can be taken over by a daughter or son, but a music band usually cannot.
Thus, art and its products live and die with their artists.
That may be why we love art so much (and why it is strictly controlled in authoritarian systems). Because it celebrates the originality of each individual.
Democracy creates the conditions for this. Because the fundamental principle of democracy is that everyone can follow their wishes.
So, whoever celebrates art celebrates democracy!
