Dear Friends of Democracy,
I discovered this little animation above (from Nactocity) and wondered what mobility has to do with democracy.
Quite a bit, I guess, since democracy means participation of as many people as possible, and participation requires, among other things, mobility. Individual car traffic in the big city only fits this idea to a quite limited extent, right? On the other hand, in rural areas, it might be the other way around. There, individual transportation enables that participation.
So whether car traffic promotes democracy is also a question of where you live.
See you in Europe,
Johannes
