My Dear Friend of Democracy,
Today, just a photo I took this summer in Berlin, Germany, during an election campaign event of the populist party Bündnis Sahra Wagenknecht, BSW for short, and a quote from Chinua Achebe, a late Nigerian novelist, poet, and critic who is regarded as a dominant figure in modern African literature:
“A functioning, robust democracy requires a healthy, educated, participatory followership, and an educated, morally grounded leadership.”
