There's a lot of talk about gender inequality here in Germany. But because there's so much talk and discussion, some things are also changing. A vivid example of positive change is the labour market. Average working hours per week have been declining in Germany for years (red line), while at the same time, people have never worked as much as they do today (blue bars show annual work volume in billion hours). Germans aren't lazy. They're on the way to a society of equality.
