My Dear Friend of Democracy,
A few weeks ago, I was at a concert by the German hip-hop band Deichkind. The band stands for an open, non-violent, progressive society. It was a wonderful concert.
A community of like-minded people is perhaps the strongest motivator to stand up for a cause.
That's why marches and rallies are so important. They not only send a signal to the outside world but also have an effect on the inside, an impact on the cohesion of the group.
✊ You have to try it. It gives you strength.
See you in Europe,
Johannes
PS: What is written on the flag (on the photo above) that a band member waved on a barrel that rolled through the audience during the concert: "Do all of you here agree that 'Can you still?' is a good question in the current state of the world?"
